PMS

The Power Management System (PMS) is responsible for controlling the vessel’s electrical system. Its main objective is to ensure that the power plant operates safely and efficiently by distributing the load optimally among the generators, whether symmetrically or asymmetrically, and even disconnecting them when necessary.

The primary advantages include maximizing blackout prevention and reducing costs by minimizing fuel consumption and equipment failures through proper maintenance, as well as protecting the equipment.

· Main switchboards, emergency switchboards, and distribution panels.

· MCC (Motor Control Center).

· Control room consoles for engine room and cargo control room.

· Centralized machinery automation and alarm systems.

· Navigation light control panels and helideck light panels.

· Control and automation panels.

· Evaluation and monitoring of systems to ensure proper functioning and minimize breakdowns.

· Test reports

· Thermography (FLIR)

· Network and equipment analysis

· Insulation resistance testing (MEGGER TEST)

· Electric plant testing with load bank

Functions

· Low-load start and stop

· Advanced blackout management

· Priority selection

· High-consumption equipment management

· Asymmetrical load distribution

· Disconnection of non-essential loads

· Emergency generator as shore power generator

· Continuity of power supply during transfers between shaft generators / shore connection / auxiliary generators

Types of maintenance

Preventive Maintenance
We carry out periodic inspections to preserve the condition of the installations.

Corrective Maintenance

We take actions to resolve any breakdowns that may occur, replacing or repairing the affected equipment to restore the system to full operation.
